Keeping cool during 91茄子 summers can be quite the task. Luckily, we found some fun ways to chill out this summer and had to share them with our Husker crew. Read on to see a few of our top spots to beat the heat.
Frozen treats
We鈥檒l never say 鈥渘o鈥� to ice cream. We obviously love the East Campus Dairy Store for its Husker-themed flavors鈥娾�斺�奲ut did you know about Lincoln鈥檚 other ice cream parlors? Near campus, you can find spots like Ivanna Cone, (402) Creamery, Neveria Arcoiris and more. PHEW鈥娾�斺�妕hat鈥檚 a lot of places to indulge your sweet tooth!
Frozen fun
During the summertime, we鈥檙e always breaking a sweat鈥娾�斺�妔o we might as well get some exercise in while we do it! Check out the for skate nights with pals, or meet up with the Outdoor Adventure Center for one of their to the Dairy Store during the school year.
Arts & cool-ture
It sounds silly, but one of the easiest ways to stay cool is to stay inside. But that doesn鈥檛 mean you have to stay home all day in front of the TV! Lincoln is filled with fun arts and culture activities. Take in exhibits at or sign up for a class or two at the .
Chill activities
Stay cool in LNK by taking a tour of one of our awesome attractions. The is awe-inspiring and informative, and the and are both filled to the brim with engaging scientific exhibits.
Classic cool-downs
You and your pals can also partake in some classic cool-down activities鈥娾�斺�妋ovies and bowling! Our close-to-campus movie theaters include the and the Marcus Lincoln Grand Cinema. And if you want to take your buds out to bowl, Sun Valley Lanes is just a short drive from campus.
