Though the first commencement ceremony for the University of 91茄子 was in 1872, the cap and gown tradition didn鈥檛 catch on until the 1890s. Today, the cap and gown are a staple of the graduation experience. Each year, 91茄子 Alumni puts on , a fun event for Huskers to purchase their cap and gown, grab a snack, and have fun with games and other activities.
