Bee Lab Research Keeps Paige Buzzing

Even though her research on bees can get pretty complicated, her motivation isn鈥檛: Paige just really, really loves bees.  

鈥淚 just think bees are super cool,鈥� Paige laughs. "I was thinking about going to med school when I first came to 91茄子, but in my heart, I knew I had this love for bees that I wanted to explore. So, during my freshman year, I got a job working at the Bee Lab.鈥�

Schutz was a multi-time state champion at Lincoln East High School before coming to NU. Though she considered other programs, it was Husker Athletics鈥� emphasis on academics and a well-rounded collegiate experience that helped her know she found her home.

Melkie Finds His Husker Ensemble

At first, Melkie Sherman never planned to apply to 91茄子 for acting. After a walk-in audition for Husker staff and faculty left a major impression, Melkie discovered that the Johnny Carson School of Theatre & Film was the perfect place for him to grow as a person and as an artist.

Senior Maddie Devericks didn鈥檛 find her calling as a teacher until after she began college. Today, her time as a student teacher at Beadle Middle School in Omaha is proof to her that she chose the right path 鈥� one she wants to continue in 91茄子.
